Red leather with raised bands to the spine and ornate gilt-stamped lettering and decoration to the spine and boards. All edges gilt. 1621pp+80 page index and dictionary. B/W illustrations. B/W illustration of Belshazzar's Feast to the frontispiece. Acceptable condition. Boards detached, edgeworn, rubbed and scuffed, with a few endpages still attached. Spine leather detached, worn, with a large vertical crease/gash running through the middle. A few pages have been dogeared, bent or creased. Some chipping. Lightly browned with very occasional foxing. Internally a relatively nice copy. Inquire if you need further information.
