Tan cloth boards with green design and text on front. Inscribed and signed by the author (in pencil) on the front end page: (Complimentary copy from the author, H. R. Bender, June 28, 1918". Also included in the book is the advertising flyer for the second edition, and states the second edition has been enlarged from 68 pages to 150 pages - as this copy has (the true first edition of this book only contained 68 pages). The flyer has been placed in the glassine envelope to protect the surrounding pages. Binding good, no hinge cracks, no torn or loose pages though scattered foxing is present, mainly on the end pages. An attractive copy with a rare signature and rare advertising flyer promoting the book.
