Eyre & Spottiswood, 1953. First Edition. Hardcover. Acceptable/Good+. Signed. Ex-library. First British edition, following the American (true) first of 1952 from Pellegrini. Scarce. Inscribed by Van Vogt at half title. Light edgewear, bumped to spine tips and lower fore-edge corners. Spine cocked forward slightly. Binding reinforced at inner hinges with cloth tape, and cracked to mull at half title; sound through text. Dust jacket lightly scuffed and edgeworn, with tape remnants at inner flaps. Tape ghosts to endsheets, and margins of lending information remaining at FFEP. Interior foxed to first and last few pages. Text unmarked.
