London, Constable & Co. Ltd. 1934 1st edition. Hardback, 7.5 x 5 inches. Blue cloth with white lettering to spine and front. In very good condition. Some rubbing and handling marks to cover; small dark mark to front, a couple of dents/scratches to rear board. A couple of rubbed patches to cloth on rear spine edge. Corners slightly bumped. Signed on main title page by one of the authors, Mildred Cable (below printed names). Front endpaper inscribed “To Mr & Mrs Neve, in memory of a very happy visit. Jan. 1935.” With additional signature pasted below “Mildred Cable, 4.12.48.” Some mild foxing to title page, and some light foxing to a few inside pages. Plates clean and bright. Map at rear has some mild foxing to edges, and tear to corner. Else a very good signed copy. 261pp. Illustrated with 16 B&W photo plates and a large folding map at rear.
