About This Item

Melbourne: Hawthorn Press, 1975. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. v, 219 pp + b/w illustrations from photographs, with index. Some edge wear, bumped bottom corners; else clean and sound. Dust jacket shows moderate wear---chipping and short tears. According to the jacket, "Colonel Hall has the unique record of having commanded a Light Horse Regiment and an Infantry Battalion in World War II as well as having been a Staff Captain and Acting Brigade Major in World War I. But it is his experiences that hold the reader's interest, dealing as he does with a wide range of incidents and sequences, sometimes controversial, in both service and civil life."
