[title continued]: Francis Ingram Palmer, RN. commanding HM Indian Turret Ship 'Magdala'. illustrated with five photographs after designs by the author. 5 mounted photographic plates, one coloured plate, and illustrations in the text. 4to (12 1/4 x 9 3/4 inches), 74-pages plus tables. Original blue bevelled cloth pictorially blocked in gilt with images of the ram within a rope border. Headbands rubbed, 5-inch split to cloth of outer upper joint otherwise bright and attractive. Contemporary gift inscription on upper margin of title. "With the Author's Compliments" slip tipped-in. Very rare.
