Superb copy. --- First edition, exeedingly rare - Nissen 798, Schrader-H. 327-328, DSB III, 38: "He performed careful dissections of the elephant. " - published posthumously. - Probably one of the first descriptions of the dissection of a Ceylonese elephant which was carried out in 1774. - Plates with numerous detailed anatomical illustrations.
