Octavo, xiv, 343pp. Brown cloth, title printed on spine. Stated "first printing" on copyright page. Foxing along top edge of text block. In publisher's dust jacket, large piece missing along top edge of spine. Walton Newbold (1888-1943) was a member of the communist party, elected as a member of parliament in Great Britain. After losing his seat in 1923, he was appointed to the Macmillan Inquiry, looking into the banking structure of the United Kingdom.
