Loosely translated, this armband declares the wearer to be a Defender of Mao Zedong, and a member of Rebel Team of the Revolutionary Committee of Logistics Personnel of Shanghai Secondary School. China's Cultural Revolution, c.1966-1976, was a social/political movement-- when Mao Zedong, Chairman of the ruling Communist Party, initiated revolutionary cadres to reinforce his strict communist dogma used to obliterate capitalism, Confucianism, and traditional Chinese family culture.
