Tokyo, Japan: Japan Modern Decorative Arts Association Book. Near Very Good. Soft cover. First Edition. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Large quarto paperback with stiff pictorial wrappers and French Flaps. Perfect bound. 72 pages. This is the annual exhibition catalog of Japanese art published by the Japan Modern Decorative Arts Association. The present edition is undated, the Association began their annual exhibitions in1962, this copy dates from approximately 1970. There are 325 numbered objects in the catalog, each with size, artist and title listed, plus a photograph. Most photos are in black and white, 11 are in color. Major sections include ceramics, metal work, lacquer ware, dyed fabric and a chapter covering diverse mediums such as wood and bamboo , dolls, paper, cloisonne, glass etc. First edition. Previous owner's name stamp on lower title-page and the stamp of the Pensacola Art Center, Pensacola, Florida on lower front free end-paper. Moderate damage to pager spine on lower back-strip, else a clean, sound, internally unmarked (but for two stamps mentioned above) copy. Near very good. .
