New York: Brentano's, 1906. FIRST EDITION, first printing. Full tan cloth with gilt lettering on the front cover and spine, light wear at the extremities, spine lightly bumped. A collection of Wilde's lecture on decorative art, his specific criticisms and previously unpublished personal correspondence. An erudite introduction by the author includes the assessment: "Wilde irritated England; disturbed British stolidity, conservatism and self-conceit. America he amused."
