Walter Satterthwait (1946 - 2020) was an author of mysteries and historical fiction. His first novel, Cocaine Blues, appeared when he was thirty-three. He wrote several historical mysteries with intriguing situations, including a surprising visit to the American West by Oscar Wilde in Wilde West.
