Green cloth with designs stamped in black and gilt on front boards and spine. 169 pp + xiv pp illustrated publisher’s catalogue at rear. Many engravings by various artists. Floral patterned endpapers. Gift inscription by the author on the front flyleaf using her legal name, rather than her pseudonym, and dated “Christmas, 1888”. A compilation of the author’s poems for children, many of which were culled from the pages of such Victorian children’s magazines as St. Nicholas, Harper’s Young People, The Youth’s Companion, and Wide Awake. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
