About This Item

Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1942. Cloth. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾"- 9¾" tall. Cosgrave, John O'Hara. What at the time passed for an "authentic" novel of Mexico. Text on the cover reads, "The interpretation of one race to another is a necessary task for the wrter today. This book cuts through the plaster facade of Mexico and shows you a living people." Hmmmm. Good in like jacket--pages browned, book leans, front and rear pastedowns are colorful scenes, but have some foxing.
