London: John Murray, 1843. xvii + [3] + 298 pp. + 2 pp. publisher's advertisements and 13 chromolithograph plates throughout. 8vo., green cloth stamped in gilt and blind. Corners bumped, a few pale spots to boards, spine sunned; spine worn at heel and crown. Owner's name tipped in at front pastedown. Spine cocked. Text clean and tight. Wonderful plates, some with minor foxing at edges. Entertaining anecdotes abound, and useful information relating to making flies and and the fine art of salmon fishing is masterfully recounted.
