Random House, 1947. Stated First Printing. VG/VG-. Book is tight and square with even pages, good corners and clean boards. Mild wear to green top-stain. Textblock is clean with no writing, bookplate, stamp or markings and not BCE, ex-library or remaindered. Pages lightly tanned. Fragile dust jacket is unclipped ($2.50) and Good with edge-wear to tips and extremities and chips at mid-spine. 280 pages. Protected in a Brodart cover. This novel, Colwell's second, remains out of print and is very scarce.
