About This Item

NY: Dutton, 1964. First edition, first prnt. Inscribed by Spillane on the front free endpage. " A big hello to Corey from Tiger and me! This book is getting to be a real 'golden oldie' - and now I'm on what is probably my last novel - Meanwhile, enjoy the action - and note the last line - Mickey Spillane." Spillane has underscored "probably." Additionally, a 4x6 inch publicity black and white photo of Spillane with his holograph ink note is laid-in. On the bottom edge of the photo Spillane has written his name and "Corey." On the reverse is, "Hi Corey Between a bad hand & a bum pen, writing isn't easy! This is a clip from the days when I played Mike in The Girl Hunters - Regards, Mickey Spillane." Four slight abrasions on pastedowns from tape removal and an ink check mark on the front free endpage; dustjacket with internal tape (not visible on the outside) and touch of shelfwear at the spine bottom edge. A bright and tight copy in Very Good condition in a Very Good dustjacket with an archival cover. Spillane's first Tiger Mann novel.
