Charleston: R. L. Bryan Co., 1969. Third edition. Hardcover. Fine. The book was originally a small 1842 book of Dr. Irving's series of letters. He was a doctor & rice planter on the South Carolina Cooper River. The second edition, published in 1932, added his discourses and impressions and was enlarged and edited by Louisa Stoney. This third edition has 220 pages, notes, fold-out map. Bound in green cloth spine & marbled paper over boards. Tissue cover with small chips and glassine cover over that.
