Because of the absence af copyright regulations, American editions were published almost simutaneusly by several publishers.
Condition: Because they contain some signatures with the binding holes from the monthly parts, this edition can be called a first bound volume. The first edition was published in parts and the bound volumes was covered in cloth so its likely that these volumes were rebound in mid 19th century style of half leather and marbled paper ahortly after issue..
