A restored copy from parts. Bound in untitled full Hewit leather and Cockerell marbled paper in custom made linen covered clamshell box. Facsimile of Dickens signature in gilt on front cover. Includes all listed illustrations (40) by H. K. Brown. Vignette titlepage dated 1850 and text trimmed. Contains all of Smith errors except page 132 line 20 " screamed" for" screwed". Includes 6 line Errata on p. xv Contents, list of Plates Illustrations mostly clear of foxing. A couple of old yellowed tape mends. Text has mild occasional browning. Ragged title page repaired.
Synopsis
