Her writings were interpreted into many dialects, as well as Braille, and Gene have had an approximate of 50 million readers all throughout the world. Her story, A Girl of the Limberlost, was made four times into a movie adaptation, and the life story of Gene Stratton-Porter herself was created as a one-woman act, A Song of the Wilderness by dramatist and actor Larry Gard for his wife, actress Marcia Quick.
