About This Item

This is the first book that Alistair MacLean wrote under the assumed name of Ian Stuart. This occurred due to a disagreement between Collins and his new agent. Collins did not rate the book and did a small run and forgot about it. It was subsequently reissued with MacLean as author later

The plot involves several scients and the action is in a Pacific island.

The condition of the book is about VG. It has a small amount of foxing spots on the edges (not inside the text block), light marks to the ffep; the jacket is on reasonable condition. On close examination a few small closed tears, and wear to the bottom of the spine. See photos. A reasonable for its age of over 60 years.
