Dublin & Cork: The Talbot Press Limited, 1929. MacDonagh (1912-1968), was a poet and a barrister, was a co-editor with Lennox Robinson, of "The Oxford Book of Irish Verse." His father had been executed by the British for his part in the Easter Uprising of 1916. This is a Very Good copy of the First Edition. Not common. Green cloth binding with black titling on the spine. Clean text; 386 pages, indexed. Corners bumped; spine has faded to tan but all titling still bright; rubbing to the head and foot of the spine. Previous-owner signature on the FFEP; small Dublin bookseller label on the front paste-down. Although not the prettiest copy, a solid one.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
