Boston: Franklin Press: Rand, Avery, & Company, 1884. In August 1875, at the OConnell centenary celebrations in Boston, three famous American abolitionists recalled the importance of OConnells role in the American anti-slavery movement. The rators were John Greenlief Whittier, William Lloyd Garrison, and Wendell Phillips. This is a Very Good (Plus) copy of booklet reproducing the famous speech by Phillips, published in the year prior to his death. Not common. Softcover, with blue-green paper wraps. Clean text; 28 pages, very fresh, bright, and supple. There is some light fading around the margins and the upper corner of the front cover has been clipped. . First Edition. Soft Cover. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
