New York, New York, U.S.A.: Grosset & Dunlap, 1931. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Very Good+/No Jacket. Rogers, Walter S.. Book #13 in the n the 20-book YA series penned by under the same pseudonym as the author of the Hardy Boys, featuring intrepid young aviator, Ted Scott. The actual principal author, John W. Duffield, who also contributed to the Don Sturdy and Bomba the Jungle Boy series, was a "conscientious student of aeronautics." This is a slightly later printing of the 1931 FIRST EDITION, listing to Self & to HB#10 in front matter, but to TS#15 in rear, with the original RED cloth binding (not the later tan; see our listing #019715 for that edition), in 218 pages, glossy (not plain) frontispiece by Walter S. Rogers. Condition is VG+: very clean & bright, with the occasional spot, binding strong & straight, hinges intact. Interior pages show modest tanning, commensurate with age; no foxing. Minor rubbing to extremities, slight corner bumping, light soil. Old gift inscription date Xmas 1933 on ffep, else unmarked. NO DJ.
