About This Item
New York: Random House, 1956. Book Club (BCE/BOMC) . Black Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good+. Small area of very slight wear at base of spine, otherwise a nice clean copy. Jacket shows minimal wear to edges, slight yellowing to spine, minor soiling; states "Fireside Theatre Book Club Edition" at bottom of front flap. Numerous signatures on the front flap: Harold Prince (co-producer); Robert E. Griffith (co-producer); George Abbott (co-author); and Nathaniel Frey (actor, played "Smokey). Several B&W photos from the play. Originally presented at the Forty-Sixth Street Theatre on May 5, 1955. Original owner was well know to me; provenance available to those with serious interest. A great piece of Broadway/theatrical history. Original Fireside Theatre brochure is included.
