"A tale of Thrilling adventure, Daring Deeds and hairbreadth escapes." This book is protected by an archival sleeve or zip lock bag to maintain present condition. This is a "pulp" production book produced in the early 20th century so it is fragile and has yellowing or browning to pages.The staples used to bind book may be rusting. According to Adams in his reference "The Rampaging Herd: A Bibliography of Books and Pamphlets on Men and Events in the Cattle Industry" on p. 217 Harry Hawkeye is the pseudonym for Paul Emilius Lowe. The slant to the illustration on front cover is caused by the actual printing from printer. (see photo or scan) The back cover lists 32 joke books priced at 10 cents published by Ottenheimer.
