The author, Robert Descharnes, was a long-time friend of Dali and therefore is a very authoritative writer on the artist. He relates events of Dali's personal life and analyzes his major paintings and discusses Dali's writings. Volume itself has brown cloth covers with gilt lettering on the spine and front cover. The dj has a major painting of the artist on the front cover. Interior of book is clean and binding is tight. A very nice copy.
