Toronto: Thomas Allen Limited. Very Good in Very Good- dust jacket. ©1955. Hardcover. 160 p. 21 cm. Copyright date only. Sound and square binding in cloth-covered boards. Minor rubbing to edges. Top edge of text block has some foxing. Endpapers have a bit of foxing. Inside pages are clean and unmarked. Dust jacket has edgewear, including tiny tears and some creases. A little crackling to rear panel. Spine is slightly sunned. Reverse side and flaps are foxed. Rear flap has bottom corner creases. Number 5 in a series of books featuring Constable Dale Thompson of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, in which he gets his first glimpse of Newfoundland and a trek through the province to solve the mystery of a dead Portuguese seaman and the disapperance of a giant indigenous man. .
