Pp. 184, 32 plates within pagination (24 coloured), the title page vignette and pictorial endpapers printed in orange & black, numerous text illustrations (many printed in orange, brown & black), index; small cr. 4to; pictorial papered boards, a trifle soiled, edges rubbed; bookseller's sticker at foot of upper pastedown, inked gift inscription on verso of upper free endpaper, the outer leaves faintly offset, a little light foxing; Associated Newspapers Limited, London, n.d.[1953?]. *Contains a Biggles story, Night Flight, by Captain W. E. Johns, which was later included in Biggles and the Pirate Treasure (1954). Also includes a short story by Enid Blyton, A Noise in the Night.
