London, UK: The Cresham Press, 1890. Book. Fair. Hardcover. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. The book is in fair condition, shelf rubbing has caused some minor wear on the edges of the book, and over time the aging process his caused a few areas of minor discoloration on the front, spine, and back portions of the book cover, some of the stitching of the binding is loose in areas, with minor cracking on the front interior cover, a few pages have come free of the principle but are still present, the text however appears clean and clear. 'One fine day in September, in the year 1863, there was quite an uproar on the Gaston plantation, in Putnam County, in the State of Georgia. Uncle Jake, the carriage-driver, was missing. He was more than fifty years old, and it was the first time he had been missing since his mistress had been big enough to call him.' 145 pages. 8.5 x 10.5 inches. Illustrated.
