About This Item

Osprey Publishing, 2004. First Edition. Very Good book in a Very Good dust jacket. With a Signed Letter by Major Richard Winters. Unfortunately, this letter was evidently signed by a stamp he made up, as he had numerous health problems (he describes in the letter), and could no longer sign legibly.

Richard Davis Winters was an officer of the United States Army and a decorated war veteran. He is best known for having commanded Easy Company of the 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, part of the 101st Airborne Division, during World War II.
