New York: Pyramid Books. Very Good. 1962. 1st Edition; 1st Printing. Paperback. Cover Art; This is a mass market paperback book. Pyramid Books no. F794, priced .40cents. The book is in Very Good condition and was issued without a dust jacket. There is some light bumping and rubbing to the spine ends and corners of the book covers. The text pages are clean and bright, but there is some light generalized toning throughout. Both the front and rear endpapers have spots of foxing. "Horace Bowne Fyfe (1909-1995) was an American science fiction author and editor. He was born in New York City and attended Columbia University, where he earned a degree in English. He began writing science fiction in the 1930s, and his first published story appeared in the magazine Astounding Science Fiction in 1937. He went on to write several novels and short stories, and edited several science fiction anthologies. He was a member of the Futurians, a group of science fiction writers and fans in the 1930s and 1940s. He was also a founding member of the Science Fiction Writers of America. Fyfe was known for his stories of space exploration and alien contact, and his work was praised for its realism and attention to detail." (from Textopian) .
