The Pilgrim's Progress from This World, to That Which Is to Come is a 1678 Christian allegory written by John Bunyan. It is regarded as one of the most significant works of religious, theological fiction in English literature. It has been translated into more than 200 languages, and has never been out of print. It appeared in Dutch in 1681, in German in 1703 and in Swedish in 1727. The first North American edition was issued in 1681. It has also been cited as the first novel written in English. This has a lot of shelf wear, front cover edges are rubbed and chipped. The spine has been rubbed and corners bumped. Spine is straight. Binding is tight. Red marbled end sheets and paste downs are clean and bright. Title page and index page have multiple creases and tears but the print is readable. Contents are in very good condition. Thumbed index tabs. Page edges have a lot of dust. All reference pages are clean and not marked
