Four hand-made books in wraps by McCormick
the Owner of Stone Street Press in New York. Editions of these are not stated and there appear to have been a number of different variants over the years. Four beautiful , small books (5 ½ by 4 ½ inches) all in a special slipcase. Slipcase is only Good with wear and considerable fading to front and edges. All four books are Near Fine with slight corner wear. Herself is in three volumes of McCormick's translations of ancient Gallic poetry, plus his introduction on what it might have been like to be a woman in Ireland a thousand years ago. The three volumes were printed for the tenth anniversary of the press. Ancient Tree (with an introduction and then the translation of a 17th century Gallic poem) was also prepared at the tenth anniversary in an edition done specially for the Friends of the Press – this volume has been signed by McCormick in green on colophon page (initials only), and has been added to the three volume slipcase. An unusual item.
