New edition, corrected and enlarged. Ex-library with library bookplate on front paste-down and number notations on rear endsheets, title, and copyright pages. Published by Longmans, Green, Reader, and Dyer, London, 1868. Illustrated. The book measures 5.5" x 8.75", 871 pages including Index. Half bound black morocco over stone marbled boards. Speckled edges. The book is in very good antiquarian condition. Wear and cracking to the leather with chips missing at the spine. The leather has been treated with a consolidant and conditioner by a professional bookbinder to restore and preserve it for years to come. The textblock is gently toned, largely clean, and complete.
