About This Item

Japan: Marine Art Center. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Book has been inscribed by author. Akira Tateishi was born in Chiba, Japan, in 1930. Tateishi's personal passion was painting, for which he has won a number of national awards. And in 1956, he began scuba diving in search of new motifs for his painting. This prompted him to make a camera housing so he could photograph what he observed under water.
