The National Book association/Hutchinson & Company, London, 1947. Book Club Edition. Hardcover. Poor/No Dust Jacket. 192pp., IV pages., at rear -- short subject index, introduction by author. Illustrated endpapers, showing map of France and areas discussed. Light blue coloured boards with black writing on the spine. Corners of the book are very rubbed and bumped. The head and the heel of the spine are bumped and on the bottom spine cut the edge there is a 0.25 " tear. Rubbing and fading to the spine and to the book panels has also occurred. There are are numerous marks on the front and back panels and there is also an ink mark to the back panel. Foxing marks and browning to the top paper edge, and browning to the other edges. Foxing to the endpapers and for the first few pages and the last few pages of the book. Browning to the internal pages. A look at the relations between Britain and France just after before and after World War II, taking in a historical perspective as well. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
