EL no. 225. --- In flatback binding style 1, full burnt orange cloth-covered boards with elaborate Reginald Knowles-designed gilt spine titling & decorations, blindstamped J. M. Dent vignette to front cover, dark topstain and fancy Knowles woodcut art at title page, endpapers & frontis. Lacks a dust jacket. --- The cloth covering of the spine is somewhat crumpled, and with prior owner's signature to front endpaper; binding is a little loose but holding together.; 16mo (6 to 7 in. tall); xi, 669 pages .
