Quite extensive underlining and marginalia, mostly in pencil. Previous owner's name in ink on front board and a couple of other pages. Also later owner's blindstamp on title page (Hardwicke Knight). ; viii, 337, [1] pages + portrait frontispiece + 15 plates + [6] pages advertisements. Maroon cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine and front board. Page dimensions: 186 x 119mm.
