The story of Martin Sostre, who at the time of writing was serving a sentence of between 30-41 years, for selling narcotics. Martin Sostre was the proprietor of a bookshop in the Buffalo ghetto of New York and was arrested after the 1967 race riots, and are charged with selling heroin. The author takes this to task and actually asks whether or not Martin Sostre is a political prisoner and the evidence on on which he was convicted was a frame up. the dust jacket is missing the bottom inch or so of the spine section, and rubbed and shipped across the top edge, price blacked out on the front fold over flap.
