Country Life, 1903. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1903. No Edition Remarks. 454 pages. No dust jacket. The 'Country Life' Library of Sport. Red cloth with gilt lettering to front board and spine. Contains black and white illustrated plates. Pages are moderate tanned with notable foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Former owner's inscription to front free endpaper, with a pencil inscription to paste-down. Liquid staining to pages 256-257. Slight cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Visible thumb-marking present throughout, with a few small nicks, rub marks and water drops along text block edge. Boards have heavy shelf-wear with noticeable bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and considerate rub wear to surfaces. Liquid drops on all surfaces. Fairly heavy tanning to spine and edges. Boards are subtly bowed.
