About This Item

London: Hodder and Stoughton. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1892. First Edition. Hardcover. A story of cricketeering. Small hardcover with brown and cream striped cloth binding, front pastedown shield to cover presents title, images of a castle and a boar's head and the initials HD. In this initial edition the author is not named, nor is the school identified. Later printings note the author as Henry Drummond as the initials on the front cover pastedown would suggest. The symbols on the pastedown likely suggest the school though there is no definitive answer. ; 3-3/4" x 7-1/2"; 58 pp; Covers soiled, lightly worn at right corners, worn at top/bottom of spine, signatures a tad loose, toning limited to first and last pages, otherwise clean and unmarked. .
