Additional items with this copy: Signed letter from FWL, dated January 9, 1928, on water-makred American Surety Company stationary to a Mr. Herman J. Foleke of Oklahoma City asking him to subscribe to the publication of this book and stating that the Putnams will be remitting the proceeds to Lincoln Memorial University; a carbon copy of the reply to FWL dated January 13th, unsigned, but almost certainly from HJR stating he will "receive much pleasure" from the book and also stating some of his recollections of cowboys from when he first came to Oklahoma in 1900; signed note of FWL personal stationary, dated January 17, 1928 to HJR thanking him for subscribing to the book and also commenting "I have read your letter with real pleasure" handwritten on the otherwise typed note; "Excerpts from Publisher's Forward" by George Haven Putnam; "Excerpts from Introduction" by Chancellor John Wesley Hill (Lincoln Memorial University, Cumberland Gap, Tennessee). This book is item number 1295 in Adam's Rampaging Herd, with the comment "Although it is against my policy to poetry in this work, the above item is such a collector's item that it deserves a space here.".
