A compilation of RCA advertisements, illustrated by noted African-American artist Jerry Pinkney, under the headline "Craftsmanship: A Tradition in Black America," with a "historical perspective" by the company's consultant, Dr. Broadus N. Butler. The crafts covered are tanner, cobbler, weaver, cooper, blacksmith, hatter, seamstress and dressmaker, carpenter, shipbuilder, sailmaker, silversmith, woodcarver, and printer. The final page prints a portrait and short bio of Pinkney.
