London: Cassell, Peter and Galpin. Cloth. Good. no date, presumed late 1880s. Brown cloth. Oblong quarto. 33 pp. 24 tinted plates. An instructional guide to painting with both watercolor and sepia, discussing the various tints and their use, as well as using the example plates to demonstrate technique. GOOD condition. Uneven fading and scuffing to the covers, with minor soiling. Some spotting and discoloration to the rear cover. Gift bookplate on the interior indicates this was a gift to a library, but there are no library treatments so it may have never been added to the collection.
