About This Item
Brandon, Mississippi: True Exposures Publishing, (2002). First edition, this copy signed in ink by Barnes at the ffep in 2003. Oblong quarto (9.25" x 12.5"), 142, [1] pp, profusely illustrated in color from photographs. Publisher's green cloth-patterned paper over boards lettered in gilt on the front cover, in pictorial dust jacket.
Edges briefly rubbed, couple of bruises at the lower cover, otherwise very good in like dust jacket with slight edge wear.
The author/ photographer, who passed away in 2006, "carries us on the varied and annual excursion men take when they dare turn the nettles into the gray, silty soil and seed cotton into that fertile womb" ~William H Craven, Jr, from the dust jacket
