Index to plates with a description for each. From the Costwolds through Surrey, Sussex and Kent the builders were local craftsmen who used the materials at hand in the simplest ways. Host of full-page plans to scale. Bookplate, rubbing backstrip extremities; otherwise, bright, clean copy.
