About This Item

MP3 Audio CD. The Corsican Brothers is the story of two brothers who lived together at a tender age but were set apart after. But they can still sense the presence of each other. Their connection as brothers remain, and they can feel the other?s emotions and feelings. A sad story that has been made into plays and film adaptations many times.

Dumas Davy de la Pailleterie or better known as Alexandre Dumas, père, was a French author. His books were translated in almost a hundred dialects, and he is among the greatest French writers. Most of his classical fiction books were printed as series, such as The Count of Monte Cristo, The Three Musketeers, Twenty Years After, and The Vicomte de Bragelonne: Ten Years Later. His fiction books have been made into about 200 film adaptations in the early twentieth century. Dumas' final work, The Knight of Sainte-Hermine, was not completed because of his death, but was finished by an academic and printed in 2005, and became one of the best-selling novels. In 2008 it was printed and translated in English and changed its title as The Last Cavalier.

Watts Phillips, a British dramatist, who was among Dumas? acquaintances, described him as ?the most generous, large-hearted being in the world. He also was the most delightfully amusing and egotistical creature on the face of the earth. His tongue was like a windmill ? once set in motion, you never knew when he would stop, especially if the theme was himself.?

Some of his numerous works include fiction novels such as Captain Paul, his first novel in series; The convert of St. Paul; The Specter Mother; Georges; The Conspirators; The Regent's Daughter; works about drama such as Antony; Kean; and some nonfiction books such as Travel Impressions: In Switzerland; The New Troy; and other major works.
