First edition, first printing. 128pp. In deep blue cloth-covered boards with bright gilt titles on spine. Sky blue endpapers. 12mo. A bright, crisp and tidy copy, with slightly rounded spine tips. In its original, shelf worn dust jacket, a little rubbed on edges, price clipped. A tender loves story wrapped around memories and recollections of Coronation Day, 1953, which displays again Gallico's affection for and understanding of British traditions and national identity.
